Lips part pleading: words for free. Next destination guarantee. I read all of your warning signs, and fortunately my eyes went blind. Yeah. Lipstick clippings smeared on the wall— a holy scripture for one and all. I’ll read you my favorite verse; it’s hidden unwritten in her purse. It’s moving way too fast now with no chance to slow down. The future’s forecast I can’t tell… Yeah. Tired eyes trying to make me laugh. Pedestal math missed making a map. Your hand holds mine, tell me we’ll be fine. But I see the doubt dripping from your eyes. It’s moving way too fast now With no chance to slow down The future’s forecast I can’t tell… Yeah.

Candle 02:11
I saw the outside inside in a plant by the window. It was growing backwards from leaf to branch to seedling. I prayed to God: would You take the darkness away? You cut me off from the vine in your perfect time. I wasn't bearing any fruit, so I was of no use. Her eyes were gold-plated lockets like a snow-covered casket. I’ll do all that I’m able. Don’t be a drowning candle. I prayed to God: would You take her darkness away?

I’m tired of you always following me to wherever it is that I’ll be like a stray dog—needy. Use your heart to see. Get along without me. I’m sick of the constant lack of apathy, the grueling pace of consistency, and the past still haunting me. Use your mind to breathe, and get along without me. Here you’ll be: motives underneath, with knives in your teeth, begging on your knees. Open the door and leave. Get along without me. Get along.

Resolution 04:08
Every step I take's leading me to the question: where do I go when I don’t listen? Every move I make’s leading me to a decision, but where the hell is my resolution? Every love you chase’s followed by apprehension like you’re prescribed a new prescription. Every distant ideal seems an illusion and my self-hood will never have completion. The sky is painted red like I tried to shoot it dead. The sun is burning quickly out within the shadow of a doubt. Every choice made is followed by indecision: I’m already writing my revision. But my good friend I failed to mention that you can’t escape the human condition. Sorry that I acted out a pretension, but I was under a different impression. All of my wishes are broken. Is this what it means to be a Christian? The sky is painted red like I tried to shoot it dead. The sun is burning quickly out within the shadow of a doubt. I saw four tornadoes at top and bottom funneling. We ran to hide underground, against the grey sky screaming loud.

“It didn’t slip in, I swear.” Don’t put those walls up ‘round me. I’m tired and I just want to sleep. “It didn’t slip in, I swear.” It’s a little lie, just a disguise, to hide my face. Look in your eyes. Tell that I’m not alright. Oh, Caddy, how could you do this to me? Think of the family, the family, and me. “It didn’t slip in, I swear.” Father, I have committed… Put your hands around my throat. “It didn’t slip in, I swear.” It’s a little lie, just a disguise, to hid my shame. This disgrace, I can’t take. It’s the family name. I don’t know why, I don’t know why, but I have to die. I’ve tied these bricks onto my feet, now watch me sink. It did. It slipped in, I swear. I hope that you rot in hell. Oh, Caddy...(caddie).

Every day ends the same: another torn, written page. Identity is a narrative that you must read backwards (until…) I heard someone in the house, laughing, digging trenches. I dreamed of snakes in my bedroom that broke into pieces. I can’t explain these visions that I see every night. Sister, get in the car and drive, drive, drive, drive. Fill my cup back up with my favorite poison. I need to feel young again and shake off this feeling. I’m afraid you ruined us and sabotaged our building. As of late I’ve seen my fate: my head, set on a silver plate. I can’t explain these visions that I see every night. Sister, get in the car and drive, drive, drive, drive. It's over, done, and buried.
