lyrics

I broke the seal
of your letter.
I just wanted
to read what it said.

The hall was painted
bright gold,
rippled lights
all over the walls.

I made my way
into your cave.
Well-rehearsed words
would remain unsaid.

"Calm down," she said,
as she wiped my brow.

The second vision
erupts slowly:
soaks like tea
on dry paper.

You were wearing
all white,
shrouded with
the most beautiful lights.

I laid my gifts
at your feet.
The ground shook;
I ran for (to) the street.

"Calm down," she said,
"It's almost over now."

"Calm down," she said,
as she wiped my brow.

Calm down. (She was
a vision anyhow.)
